What size pulley should I buy? Mods in sig +Gen V, 65's and E85, and stage 2 intercooler with stage 3 fmhe since zzp said they will not be restocking the stage 2 due to its weight and the 3 being more efficient. Was fixing to order that fmhe and my lim gaskets right now but almost forgot the best part, the smaller pulley... The 65's are on their way, I already hacked up my fuel rail and brazed it back together. I do have HP Tuners and am beginning to get comfortable with it. Most of the size guides I see are Gen 3 blowers and none really I could find for E85...

The one WBS carries is the same as the frozenboost one for the same price.
    26" x 7" x 3 1/2", 1/2" NPT, $180

    ZZP's is
    27 3/4" x 6 1/4" x 2 11/16”, ½” or ¾” NPT, $210
Irridium spark plugs last 100k mi and work just as well as copper. Copper is a waste on N/A and only lasts 15k mi. Don't use Platinum.
Use 195* tstat unless you can thoroughly explain why not; 99.9% don't need a lower temp.
Almost any oil filter, ever, is of higher quality than ACDelco. Spend $6+.

I have the WBS FMHE, its nice. I would say start at 3.0 at the largest and max the timing out. I'd say go smaller if you get to 21* timing.

Putting the FMHE where WBS wants you to cuts off flow to everything.

The ideal solution would be something that sits just in front of the condenser.

Small as you want to go really... If you have no slip mods put on a 2.8, but dont go smaller.

Now I'm really glad I asked cause I was gonna get a 3.25 or maybe a 3.1. I don't have any antislip mods yet, I been planing on fabbing me a stainless belt wrap setup though. But now you guys got me thinking I'm gonna run outta fuel pump now even with my rewire...lol

I'll be cutting away at my bumper support to get it up where it needs to be for the best flow, and so I'm not dragging it on the speed bumps in the work parking lot. I gotta move my tranny cooler though, guess I'll have to go up top with it and put it behind the grille

Ooh. Did not know that. How so? Also, how, specifically, should it be done differently?

S3V1 FMHE ordered, along with my lim gaskets, belt, and a 3.0 pulley to start with. After I get it tuned and a belt wrap made I'll try and go down again... Starting to wonder why I have these IS2 heads and an IS3 cam on my shelf if I can run this small of a pulley already...lol Maybe I need to ditch the cam for a turbo one for the next build

    Thanks guys!

On whats relevant to our application: air has to be forced to go through the heat exchangers, not allowed to flow around them.

So, you're saying that what is currently done is inefficient and we should put the heat exchanger in a different spot?

Mounting the WBS unit without cutting anything is a bad idea.

Cutting your bumper support is a bad idea.

Run a 92 golf rad in front of the condenser.

I would think if your getting comfortable with hpt you can custom choose the right pulley based on data rather than guessing...
Your asking us to choose pulley guidelines is like running a shelf tune...

run a small pulley and see how ur car likes it and decide to go up or down based on that!

a pulley is a pulley, it won't matter.

OP. that's a hell of a setup. you should have no problem dropping to a 3.0"

Well there's really no ballpark guidelines for e85 and a gen v blower which are two things that drastically change what size you can run. So I was really just asking people with experience to get in the ballpark so I didn't have to buy every pulley from 3.6 down to 2.8. Start with a 3.0 and go down if I can.
