My friends l67 just went out and where trying to decide wheather to throw another l67 in there ($900 w/ 60k miles) or a super low mileage l26 ($570 w/ 60k miles).
What would need to be taken off the old l67 and added to the l26?

youd basically would be doing a topswap to it. if the car has an aluminum subframe then you should be fine, otherwise swap the oil pan over or grind the subframe a little.
**** L26's. And your crappy tiny rods.
L67 all the way.
L67
Cool. Thanks for your suggestion guys. Where going L67 replacement.
Update.
So we found a cheaper l67 from a 99 buick riviera with 52k miles for $700. When we got there the lady ended up reducing the price to $600 for us because the supercharger was missing (which we didnt even need). The engine was also missing its Oil pan but we can just use the pan thats on the engine in his car. The engine is pretty dirty so we got alot of cleaning to do.
Since its from a riviera, what needs to be swapped over to complete it? And any and all advice on how to clean the engine would be appreciated.

Ummmm has there been any real failures of L26 rods???? I dont think so. I would personally go with the newer motor. We have a mid 12 second gp running an L26 block as well as a turbo/xp running this block as well. Im running an L32 block with my setup below.
From the looks of it the motor mount setup and the coil pack bracket should be the only thing that needs changing.

No its laying on the rear stock manifold due to it not having an oil pan. Im gonna spend the labor day weekend at my buddies so i can finish helping him and we work on it together.
@moree i hope that is all. We will be buying an engine stand, oil pan gasket, supercharger gasket, and Intake manifold gaskets sunday tommorow. Other than cleaning the engine, we should be done with everything by sunday evening or monday afternoon.
Any suggestions on what to use to clean the entire engine and how to do it? Its pretty dirty. We might even paint it.
engine brite gel and a hose once you get an oil pan on it and plug the intake.
Thank you nick.
