Spark Plugs

Just bought some Bosch Platinum Plus spark plugs, and am wondering if they are a good choice for the 3.8L supercharged engine? let me know wat u guys think.

I wouldn't know for sure but I would wait to hear what people have to say who think they know what they are talking about before you get those installed....

Don't go with bosch. Go with AC Delco, the are the oe and work the best. I tried some "better" plugs and they caused me to misfire and get horrible gas mileage.

No, actually the worst choice you could have made. Take them back, return them. Buy Autolite 104 copper plugs.

He wouldn't want 104s for his mods. You should go with 605s at coldest.

Thanks for the opinions so far... Should I go with 604s then, I am basically all stock? Does anybody have NGK Iridiums? Are they anygood?

Absolutely 110% do not go with the ngk iridiums! Those are what have given me the most problems so far.

For now stick with either the original AC Delco plugs, or go with the copper Autolite 605's. You will have to replace the copper's more often, so if you don't like doing that, get the others. Platinum's do not last long or work very well in our motors.

I use the NGK iridium plugs in my car and haven't had any problems out of them. I use the TR55IX in mine. If you decide to go NGK, you may want to go with the TR5IX's since you're not modded much yet.

I for one would never run an ac plug in anything (them and champion are the only plugs I have had foul in 3 different cars) I am running ngk in the gp, and no problems, I run bosch in my bravada, and have never had a problem.

I've fouled out both bosch and ngk. Never tried champion, but ac delco's are the only ones that seem to work for me.

I run the NGK TR55IX plugs in mine and no problems as of yet, but was told later on that they were more of a GT plug, not a GTP plug????

If you want a cheap plug that last under 10K, then for your mod level, the one step colder than stock AL 605's are a good choice. If you want a good plug that last a long time then the NGK Iridium TR55IX would be a good option, although pricey compared to the Autolites.

Iridiums come stock in the newer models and are fine. I've noticed no difference running any of the copper or iridium plugs, KR or otherwise. By far the best plug I've run is the Nology (Brisk) Silver Racing, but they are VERY pricey.
