Is anyone running a L67 with closed silencer ports? A guy i know has his closed and it sounds insane... I asked him but he bought it that way and wont let me take it apart to take a look... I know alot of the aftermarket companies completely eliminate the ports... Anyone done it?

Go ahead and fill them and watch me laugh when the JB Weld you use comes out under WOT boost and is thrown into your intake runner!

But it sure sounds cool doesn't it!

Why your at it get some of those whistle tips for your car.

I agree, a little on the harsh side.

I've heard that closing the ports actually reduces efficiency. Is it worth the risk to your motor to have JB weld come out? You could try actual welding but you would have to machine it afterwards. Why not just add more mods so you can drop pulleys to make it louder?

Some people get them tig welded some use jb weld. I think the welding could distort the case and I don't trust jb weld.

Well, the JBweld idea just sounds like a really bad Idea. lol I would never, especially when boost is a factor. If those plugs come out, bye bye motor... And I can see why welding may destort the inside of the rotor openings... I just didnt know if there were any gains to be had by doing it. I was just curious...

I have seen a few people that make an aluminum plate that goes in there and covers up the holes... you can fasten it to the blower in a few different ways, and if it falls out it will just sit in your intake, it wont get sucked up by anything.

That being said, I would never do it..... ever

 at some of the harsh comments.

If you haven't gathered it doesn't do anything performance wise. About the only thing it does is just make the blower louder. If that's what you are wanting then by all means go for it.
