So for the last few weeks my car has been acting strange. At LOW speed takeoffs it likes to spit and sputter like it is missing. Now I am not getting a Mis-Fire ses codes or anything like that. I decided it was time to do the plugs since I don't know when they were done last. I bought six new 606's and a can of seafoam. I did the seafoam first and then changed the plugs. I was hoping that would take care of it. But no. No now I am torn between a few different options and just would like to know which one would be the most likely. I think it could be a coil or all the coils going bad. Or maybe the plug wires are crapping out on me, they did look pretty nasty when i did the plugs. But if those were my problem wouldn't I get a misfire code? Now my other thoughts are maybe a clogged cat? I know that a clogged cat should get better at low speeds, but it is just a thought. Or it could be time for an EGR delete? I did notice that the gasket for the EGR was bad when I did the seafoam . Or could it be the dreaded LIM gasket is sucking air into the intake? I do occasionaly get a SES light from the EGR. Something about it being stuck in the pintel postion? I don't know what that means. I am also getting a code for the EVAP. Something about a vacuum detected during non-purge sequence. I have had both of those on from time to time since i got the car but this problem just started OR is getting bad enough that now i notice it. I don't EVER get any other codes from anything else. MY MPG's are still pretty good too. I still avg. about 25-28 MPG's. so what ever it is, is not really hurting me at full speed...
