    Hi All,

Just bought a used 2004 Grand Prix GT... What are some easy cheap boltons to make the car more fun? I noticed the intakes are expensive. Is it easy to create my own intake? I would like to spend $80 max.... Let me know what I should do first. Thanks!

Nope...yank it out of the factory air box and let it sit there...I've never bolted down either one of mine...haven't had any issues...evah.

I think he meant that he didn't want to spend more than $80 on the intake setup...

I'm only looking for light mods... I don't plan on keeping this specific GT for a long time( has 143k on it, runs like a champ though) I plan on getting a newer one with less miles on it next year. Maybe even a GXP if I'm lucky! And your right I only want to spend a max of $80 on the intake. I owned a Mustang GT and a SVT Contour before this car. The GP is everything I expected.

OH and the car was well maintained... Most of the routine maintenance has been handled!

Run highest octane you can get your hands on.

If you're up on maintenance.... have you done a coolant pressure test lately?

I doubt your LIM gaskets are still holding.

    Changed the coolant elbows?

    Hows the suspension?

You say new GTP yet you have a GT....

    Very different motors.

    $80 limit? Save your money.

You'll need it when one of your wheel bearings goes or you hit something and need a new LCA/ knuckle/ axle/tie rod.

Hell thats almost a tank a gas.

Cuz with a limited amount of money the comp will walk the gxp....and get better mileage. And actually has an after market
