Ok I am feeling pretty dumb right now but I think I may have put the check valve and spring back in wrong. I just had the engine and trans out. needed a new trans and pulled the engine with it because it was going to be down a few weeks while I found a good used trans. Well got it all back together and I have a lot of valve noise like their starving for oil. Can someone remind me how the valve, spring and housing that the filter mounts to go back together. I am guessing I either did it wrong or the valve is stuck. I have read that is possible to get the valve stuck. The oil light is on too so I am sure that means no/low pressure. It looked pretty straight forward how I thought it should go together but it has been a couple weeks and I guess my memory isn't what it used to be. Help me out please. The car fired right up and want to test this thing out but obviously don't want to damage the engine. thanks in advance.
