How hard is it to remove the h bar from a ported blower? Ave been trying.to get a ic ported blower for 3 weeks and im thinking of just taking my h bar off the one i have so i can install my Damn intercooler. I have a dremel and how long would it take?

should be fairly quick. I've done similar stuff with just a hacksaw to the TB in around an hour. It should be around the same with a dremel.

that's a lot of material to take out with a dremel. you can do it, but its gonna take a while.

take it to someone with a lathe and theyll do it in 5 minutes.

You can use a cutting wheel and try to cut it off instead of grind it off. Then smooth it out afterwards.

Don't you mean a Mill? A Lathe will cut stuff that is round.

The hardest part in Milling the "H" bar is the setting up the machine and holding the S/C somehow to the Mill Table. I have done it several times, it just take a little while to do it.

It can be done with a Dremel, just get the right bit to do it.

Pneumatic grinder would be faster than a dremel.

hmm not sure, why not get more bits? Have you ported the LIM intake too? I think it's kind of pointless having a hbar less removed SC with the stock lim intake.

Yea sure you can install it again with the H-bar like that.............But I wouldn't bother installing that IC though, since you're just going to pull it off again to finish..........

Oh, and I'd expect the turbulence that the half-grinded H-bar is going to cause will actually decrease your performance, but I'll let the experts chime in on that.
