I have a 04 gp gtp and i bought pace setter headers from zzp and right now i have no cat, no muffles, and no resonator and im trying to find this leak somewhere i made sure its not the y pipe and i have both my o2 sensors in now and i made sure i tightened ever bolt down to speck. im wondering if its because i have just straight pipe all the way back or because i have no back pressure. Im running out of ideas need some help with this.

If the Y is not welded it is leaking.

no cat with both o2 sensor's will still throw a code, unless the rear o2 is tuned out a SIM is in its place.
and why on earth would you have no mufflers or res? These cars sound like complete ass without those and are way too loud and raspy.

I bet the lack of resonator makes it sound like a leak. Without a resonator is sounds like chit.

ya it does sound bad. I'm going to put on new muffles maybe on Tuesday. i have the zzp computer on and the erased the P0420 trouble codes (which is the oxygen sensor codes). And i had zzp fix the leak in the y pipe with the headers. I'm not sure if that is the problem. Maybe i need a tune? because i have no back pressure and the car is supposed to run with everything. But i really don't think its a leak anymore because i made sure there was no air getting out anywhere on the down pipe and the y pipe and stuff. Or do you guys think that my o2 sensors have to go through a drive cycle and it might tune itself to run properly.
Today when i was testing it i feel like its just not peeking when i go fuel throttle. So if this helps i want to see what everyone thinks.

you dont need backpressure, its all a myth.
99% of cars with a good working exhaust system make less than 1 psi of pressure.

really. wow then im stumped i have no idea what i should do then. i tighten every bolt on the front and rear headers down to speck. Do you think my computer has to go through a drive cycle because i just installed my rear o2 sensor and itll be able to adjust itself?

Do the sea foam treatment and see where the smoke comes out of the exhaust

I just think you're not used to the way headers sound. It does sound different because of the tubular nature of the piping.

That's true, i'm not used to it. but i just did the sea foam and i found when i rev it a little it leaks out of the c clamp they gave me for the down pipe. were the cat is supposed to be welded on.

Found out what was wrong with my car today. It had nothing to do with my headers having a leak. It was my spark plug wires that didn't have a good connection. So that is why my car wasn't peaking when i'm going full throttle
