Having issues with the temp. on my 2000 GTP. I have the Torque app on my Droid with the BT OBDII reader for my numbers. (the dash gauge indicates about 10-15 cooler that the app shows.)

I have recently replaced all intake man. gaskets, t-stat195f, and vac lines.
No noticeable problems with power. (ran a 6.3 0-60 and a 14.9 1/4 with my son in right seat, no mods.)

The Issues; most normal highway driving temp stays around 195F, city and in town driving it has gone up as high as 230F and then even after getting back on the highway will stay above 200F. Most of the time it will get to 212 and stabilize then come back down around 200F. I also noticed, after pulling into the garage that; while running, the upper radiator hose sometimes is not as hard as normal and while shut down after driving sometimes is real soft, easy to squeeze.
Outside temp has ranged from 75-95F.

I have bled the coolant a couple times.

My main concern is with the limp rad. hose at times, maybe some viagra in the coolant would help???

    Thanks

    Ken

    dash gauge is special.

bottom of the gauge claims 160 but its more like 130.

Your temps sound right for a stock PCM considering thats what the stock fan settings are.

low at ~212 high at 236 IIRC.

    Something in that neighborhood.

above 212 F water normally boils.

pressure is what prevents that from happening.

    thus the stiff rad hose.

Right, thats why I am concerned when the hose is not stiff at times (low pressure).

    hmm...

195 is below boiling, less pressure build up.
