So as many of you've seen, thanks to a recent stupid mistake I did, I had to pull one of my heads out. I also took the chance and left the LIM at the machine shop today to have it ported and matched with the SSIC core.

So now that I have the head out I was thinking on having them ported too... to have the complete set lol.

I know this local guy who has been building drag racing cars for at least 20 years and he ports heads. But he's mostly used to doing Chevy V8s. He's never done a L67 before.

My question is if would it be ok to have someone with this experience port the heads. Are there any things that I should let him know if I decide to do this?

If you tell him to do a mild port job it would be okay. stuff like smoothing out the casting marks, removing the sharp edges around the valve guides and ridges would be okay. I wouldnt be too comfortable with him changing the port design though.

Yeah he's only done V8's. I know I've read before that porting the heads has it's trick to it. That's why I wanted to check here first.

Thanks man that's very specific. I'll read it carefully and check it with him.
