Headers aren't at the top of my list atm but if I order them in the future i'll definitely have a full review.

I've just been looking for a set of good headers in the $600 price range and refuse to go with something like speed daddy's.

Spending more is going to make you feel better about your purchase? I've run SSAC's for two years now... if I ever had a problem I coulda bought an entirely new set and still spent less.

What's funny is those headers look like SSAC/SD/SLP headers. They probably bought a up a bunch of sets and are now selling them for 4x what they paid.

yah, its a shame you have to buy a new flex, use a lot of rtv, new clamps, new gaskets, mild steel, 1.5" primaries, rusts, u bend and probably still won't fit as nice as these.

ohh, almost forgot, and beating the **** of your car to fit the 02.

Why? My SSAC'S are 5 years old and there still in good shape

No issues, There still sealed with Copper RTV that I used 5 years back. All headers with any slip joints you're going to have to use RTV anyways. Just saying

lol those do look like Speed Daddy headers, just with a different Crossover.

Oh.. and no flex pipe.. so yea.

You don't need to buy new gaskets with the SD ones, just use your stock ones. And clamps and RTV are what? $15 max? Come on now..

The crossover on those headers look legit though. Nice how they relocated the 02 bung to before the rear header.

The front header looks identical to the SD set..rear is similar. Crossover is a monster tho +1 for that.

And I will say, SpeedDaddy headers are great. If you've got $600 to burn, get the WBS, or TOGs. If not, spend an extra $20 on the SpeedDaddy, and have basically the same damn thing.

Stainless will surface rust like mine has. I can clean it right off. Mild steal will rust thru. SSAC's are stainless

97-03 Grand Prix GTP Regal 3.8L GS SUPERCHARGED Header

1997-2003 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP, Buick Regal GS, 3.8L Supercharged Engines

came from ssac themselves where i bought mine, they must have changed it to mild steel recently and the primaries are 1-3/4. it could have something to do with the chrome beacuse mine looked like mild steel on the inside.

and they cost 175+50 shipping =225

    None of them are 1.5.

there are 1 and 5/8ths and one a three quarters.

If you're not running a cam or ported heads, i'm sure the smaller primaries will be more ideal for your car.

the WBS headers are using what appears to be pacesetter primaries, not SSAC.

My SD's look like aaron's SSAC's after one winter, only not as bad. But getting there.

They still polish up nicely though.

You're paying $400 too much... but hey if you convince yourself it's worth it, more power to ya. The SD/SSAC headers a 1-3/4'' primaries. Band clamps are cheap. You should use RTV at all slip joints, and how often are you really going to pop your hood and be like, look at those awesome looking headers that I spent three times as much as I needed to spend on...

    It's your money though.

But they're 1 5/8th.... Better size for stockish cars.

Yeah, I would say that deleting the "SSAC u-bend" and a vastly improved crossover, plus V-band flanges make it worth the money to get WBS, but only if you're lazy and/or can't weld stainless. Then it's still a couple hundred cheaper to go with the flea-bays.

Even if Mikey is just buying ebays and modding/upgrading them, that labor is what you pay for. I mean Clean's retrofit headlights are $250 in labor. It just depends on what you're willing to live with or how far you'll go for a nice finished product.
