SyntheticShield when you had the CPS/ Intermittent stalling did you have any codes. The reason I am asking is my 2002 GP GT 3.8L (166k Miles)started randomly stalling (At idle, during acceleration, on the freeway) warm or cold...at first it was once a day now its multiple times during each outing the usually starts immediately after it stalls but last night it stalled and I had to restart 3 times

1. When it dies, does it just die or does it sputter or hesitate or stumble before it cuts off?
My car has now done this twice to me, the first time I turned onto a highway which was fantastic...
This time it did it at a stop light, oddly enough with a semi behind me.
I can however put my car in park, then start it up again and it is fine.
What should I do?

I just started having this issue... I can start the car, it stalls out fairly quickly now, when it first started doing this crap it idled for awhile now if it wants to idle it will. I can be full throttle 90 mph and it will still stall, it putts out sputters before stalling. when I hit the gas it takes longer than usual to rev, when it revs it putters (lack of fuel to engine). while idle in N or Park if I pump the gas(several times) and get it to rev to like 5 grand I can let it settle back to idle and throw it into drive and it will run for a few mins anyway sometimes longer than others. (not neutral dropping, just getting it to rev takes a few pumps). when it is about to stall it goes and stops. it revs to about 2100 rpm before dropping to idle. it seems like its not pumping fuel to the engine. I too have to pull over turn the car off and restart it, it hasnt not started yet, but I soon may have that issue. I also was on the highway and almost got slammed trying to pull off to the side of the road. MASS-holes is another issue, not letting me back onto the road after I pull over and get it to drive normally for the time being, i have to get it going fairly quickly or it will stall again. also when it starts to sputter i can sometimes "save" it a few mins anyway by slamming it to the floor. once the supercharger kicks in it will run... untill it sputters out again anyway.

5. computer management system
anyone want to diss miss issues or suggest issues
I just dropped it off at my mechanic, I will update when I know more.
