ok so after some debating on here today i decided to ditch the 3" pvc intake tube and stock rubber elbow that has the bellows in it, and just go open cone off the tb:

i took the car for a drive and it felt slower and didnt seem to sound the same, so i came back to the house poped the hood and saw the intake just laying in the engine bay with the iat sensor just dangeling in the wind lol..... and heres what caused that to happen
K&N filter Fail!... so it made sense why the car seemed to feel slugish and not as quick. so went to autozone but a new filter and used a 3 to 4 inch intake coupler that i had and here is the final result
took the car for a drive and it seems to pull a little harder in the higer rpms. i think its safe to say there is more airflow and that this is the better choice
