Ok so I am planning on replacing my intake manifold gaskets possibly this weekend and the advanced auto down the road sells the upgraded aluminum gaskets and all intake orings for cheaper than to have it shipped from anywhere else. But, they don't carry the supercharger gasket. My question is Re you able to pull the intake and the supercharger off at the same time so I don't have to wait for shipping for the gasket?

Yes. And I would also dowse the LIM and top of the gasket with red RTV to prevent leaks.

    no?

    just the corners.

    as per the instructions.

if your LIM is pitted, you need a new LIM or it needs to be machined.

    RTV isn't the solution.

Oh and my other question besides the fuel pressure is what does the Lim and the s/c need to be torque down to?

To relieve fuel pressure, start the car, pull the fuel pump relay, let car die. Problem solved

    probably.

    tried torquing LIM bolts once.

    broke the bolt.

    never torqued another one since.

I meant on top of the LIM, like on both sides of the SC gasket. But you are correct only put RTV in the corners for the LIM gasket.

    You should torque it.

I didn't have good luck with that when i tried it.

i torque them similar to an oil filter.

till it meets, then 1/4 of a turn (instead of three quarters like the oil filter.)

LIM isn't anymore than 12 ft.lbs. Even though I've never really TQ'd it correctly. Blower isn't much more either...which I've never TQ'd either...and never did it in any certain order.

Only thing I am wary about...because they break EASY...are the fuel rail nuts...barely snug them down...and TB nuts...because said studs can break on both very easy.

Supercharger gets torqued to 17 ft. lbs.

    LIM:
    3.8 VIN K = 89 in. lbs.
    3.8 VIN 1 = 11 ft. lbs.
(roughly both get 11 ft. lbs.)

BOTH supercharger and LIM have to be torqued in sequence, starting in the middle, and working your way out to the ends in a "X" pattern.

Mainly the 4 upper most LIM bolts get thread sealer because they enter the heads valve train, I normally coat ALL the LIM bolts with thread sealer when I reassemble, cause that's how they came out.

GenIII M90s, don't forget the coolant o-rings with the gasket.
GenV's...they are built into the gasket so no worries.
