Replaced intake manifold gasket with gm aluminum gaskets and valve cover gaskets. Also injector o rings. upon initial start primed fuel system, disable fuel pump cranked engine all seem normal. crank with fuel a horrible metal clanking banging not really sure what it is sound like its coming from upper motor. pulled valve covers to see if anything was in by valves found nothing. crank with valve covers off no fuel all seems normal. crank with fuel noise again. really stumped here any assistance would be taken
    thanks steve

    Where in Mass are you?

Could anything have dropped into the lower intake area when it was off?

Are you sure it's not just the sound of the injectors? Worcestor is a little run, but Sam's has been calling me for a while.

not too sure what I bad injector sounds like its loud and almost sounds like metal on metal. I would gladly toss you some gas money if you were to come this way. Really need to get car up and running today . Other wise I got to go rent one. I was also thinking something with injectors. just stumped been wrenching on this car for ten years

I would hate to tear it all back down and have it fuel related.

Were you missing any bolts or pieces? Something in the LIM means it was either in the head or in the supercharger at one time.

Does the charger turn freely by hand?

Pull the valve covers and look for any loose rockers or bent pushrods.
