Ok long story short, im getting ready to do lim gaskets on my l67. Yes im getting the good gaskets. I am also going to be doing the valve cover gaskets, supercharger coupler and a little porting on the outlet, and I want to do my headers as well money permitting. Trying to decide if I should go ahead and get the bearings for the s/c as well. Car has 225k on it and I am planning on going to a gen5 when the new motor is built. Think I would be ok just looking things over and making sure the bearing appear to be in good shape and leave them? They arnt making any noise or anything, I know my coupler is a little bit though....lol. Im trying to save money so I can move here soon but when im gonna have the top end off, I think Ill kick my shelf in the ass later for not doing headers at that time....

When I have to do the lim gaskets I will block the tb coolant loop in the lim with npt plugs, and open up the coolant bypass, also in the lim unsder a flange bolted in with 2 bolts, I believe under the egr connection.

I got a spare s/c to test out porting it myself, and all bearins seem fine for now. Just replace the coupler if it is going bad, and port the outlet at the same time if you want to.

I built a template and used a router with a carbide bit for the outlet shape. The inlet I opened up to 76mm using 2 bits, one to step in ~2mm, another to remove this remaining step and a flapp 80 grit sanding drum to smooth the lip that was left at the bottom.

for outlet, just taking out the bolt protrusions and adding a bevel should be sufficient.

Inlet will be restrictive due to the PCV and coolant channels. gen V will always win there.
