I used half inch plywood so a scrap strip of wood was attached to make it more rigid. Measure the angles under the pipes and cut pieces of wood that match. This will be your guide for where the floor of the car will be. Attach them to the jig. With both ends of the pipe attached, you can now cut the middle out and piece back together the way you want it. Tack weld it together then remove from the jig and finish welding.
well the problem for me is, my headers are used and the first person the put them together didnt do it right and the flex is where the bend is. i was hoping for the angles so i could have the dp redone the right way. i have slp headers tho so it might not be the same.

You could follow the same idea. You know your rear header and downpipe fit in the car right now. Remove them from the car and then build the jig around them the same as I did with mine. If you know where the ends will be, you just need to have them secured in place while you cut the middle out and rebuild it the way you want.

I'm going to be a dick. Guess you couldn't find or work the search button? :th_nanana: C'mon guy.. we are here to help, not do all the work for you.
Searched on "Header Install" with username "BillBoost37" (because I suggested using the write up that I did). The third thing in the search was sitting in the "How To" section.

Re: Pictures of Modified SD Headers (using jig)
you should give them pics of the rear header from this page too.
its a 4-8hour (3-6 if you follow bills write up) job so ur going to pay a shop an a$$ load for the install. theyre not hard to do on your own with the help of a local whos done them before.

I like how the pool cues are mounted in the recessed built in cubby in the wall. Pretty cool.
Now, get the stuff off the pool table, and on the car. :)

Re: Pictures of Modified SD Headers (using jig)
does anyone have any before and after pictures on the car? just wondering how far down on the GP's and 6th gen monte that the DP stuck before and after chopping it up. I modified my fire wall and the headers fit but the down pipe looks very low.
Re: Pictures of Modified SD Headers (using jig)
