Right, my cars been running like **** but i think that had to do with a small gas mix up.

How ever, ever since i bought this car ( i didnt drive it for a good 6 months ) If you get into some boost, the Low coolant light will come up and start blinking. And by get into some boost, i mean go out and have a bit of spirited driving.

So, normal driving it runs real cool, as low as the T-stat is set 180. After playing around some, Gets up to say 200 witch is normal. Buttt the low coolant light blinking and the smell of coolant isnt. Oils clean, im not noticing any coolant loss, Lower intake gaskets changed within the year.

So is it possible the headgasket is leaking into the exhaust? it doesnt smoke that i have noticed. Wheres the common spots for the headgaskets to go bad on these motors? and any other ideas?

    Thanks

you may need to bleed the air out of the cooling system, warm up the car when you know the thermostat is open, then open the brass screw on the thermostat housing a few turns and little bubbles should come out, wait till its a steady stream and shut it, top off rad.

Is your coolant level full in both the rad. and the overflow? My GT did this when the rad. was leaking and the level would drop only when I was on it or cruising above 65mph. As soon as I let off and coasted for a second the light went out. Back on the gas=light again.

Replaced the rad and bled the system 3 times before I could get all the air out of it. If your coolant is full then I would try bleeding it again.

And no, headgaskets are not a common issue on this motor. The LIM is far more the issue, then coolant elbows. Also check your waterpump for any leaks. Might be hidden and getting spun off by the belt/pulleys.
