    i recently changed the rear 6 lifters, all they had, i know, shoulda done 12.... anyway, its throwing the codes po336 and po443. although on my recent cruise down the road and back, the po443 was not showing up? could that have been from cylinder 6 and 4 plug wires crosed? the tach is not working, tcs is off, light is always on, and long drawn out shifts if i halfway pushing her. i have read that a crank sensor could cause all of this? could it also give a slight tick? if not maybe a bolt not quite tight enough? any suggestions would be helpful.. would like to trust car to drive back to school to shut my roomate up bout how "sweet" his boody freakin KIA is... lol

    Tom.. What year and model do you drive?
    I beat ya down about the double post, kinda sorry...ok maybe not... or just a little?

    Anyhow, have you looked up the two codes?
    336 GearChatter.com :: View topic - DTC P0336 Crankshaft Position (CKP) Sensor Performance
    443 GearChatter.com :: View topic - DTC P0443

    Read those two links and focus on the diagnostic aid section. Then look at the various tests they do in the flow chart. It'll give you a good idea what you should be looking for.

    Yes on the crank sensor for 336, change that pos.
    443.. not sure, but take a look at your evap stuff.

    Because you didn't really tell us much, it's tough to understand why you were changing lifters. Either way..your two codes have no apparent connection to the lifters. Until you give us some info.. we can't really help you much.
    I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

    99 gtp. i changed lifter as i ran the car way to hard and devolped a nasty lifter tick. replaced all gaskets and the po443 code was due to a unplugged wire. car runs smooth and always starts and shuts off,doesnt stall, as some others have reported with a bad cps. its just the light is on and i hate that thing. lol. i am guessing i still have a bad pushrod though, still kinda clicks...
