Ok so I'm almost done doing my tune. My problem is that during normal driving conditions I sometimes start getting up to 5* of knock under any kind of engine load.

It really doesn't make any sense why it suddenly starts doing this given that I'm running knock free and the next minute, I'm getting so much of it.

When this happens, I just pull over and take out 2* of timing on these cells and it's fixed. But the conditions under this happens make me believe it may not be timing related only, because of the fact that occurs suddenly without anything else being changed in the tune.

Any ideas of what could be causing this will be appreciated.

Here's a screen from the point in the scan where the knock starts:

Here's another screen of the ongoing KR:

Could be false...check your lower engine mounts and check to see if your downpipe might be hitting the front swaybar under load and causing it...

drop PE to 28 percent and mess with T/c lock up. Thats a High load situation,You should stay out of boost in 4th gear. ESP when the Converters locked. My suggestion is to downshift if you need that much throttle or let off and then back on to unlock the T/C

Thanks guys, I'm also trying to figure out which value from the scan table that I posted corresponds or is converted to Mg/cylinder for the GFS table. Is it a value from that table or am I missing something?

hmmm today it did it again on the way here to work. the weird thing is still that it starts registering KR for no apparent reason.

this time I pulled over and flashed the PCM with the exact same file and the KR was gone.

I'm thinking of switching to another PCM to see if it helps.

Took out my old stock PCM from the closet and used the same tune file to see if it works. I'll have to test it a couple of days.

By the way, the Mexican PCM file ID is not the same as the US. Actually, the powrtuner said it was not supported by the software, so i couldn't even open it to see what difrerences they had. Anyway, I did a full write with my tune and there were no issues.

It's working great, when I started modding the GTP, I wanted a 14 second car at this altitude. I'm probably at the mid 14's now that I have it tuned. I still need to take it to the track and test it, but it was running flat 15 without the tune, it should be there by now.

I bought a SSIC here in the forums, it's in the mail, that should be the last engine mod, it should get me in the high 13's at least, which is more than I could have expected when I started.

I don't want to go any further than that, because the parts needed are much more expensive and I would definitely need a transmission that can take it.

But it's all thanks to the advice I've received here on the forums.
