Is it safe to press the pulley off, by driving the shaft and inner bearing out on a press without cracking the snout housing??I need to rebuild the snout, bearings, and seal. I might bring it by my local motorcycle shop, and watch him do it. Thanks

I pulled the whole snout of then braced under either side of the pulley put a bolt in snout and the pressed with a 20 ton press and it came off like butter! no harm to snout either
