title says it all installed ported sc yesterday. has like a hissing noise at idle. sound like its coming from the area around the bbv.
im on my was to autozone to get some carb cleaner to check for vac leaks but im wondering if it could be a boost leak because i dont remember my actuator being open at idle.
So if it is boost leak could it be because of me removing the bbv from one sc and putting it on the new one in the wrong position or cause its busted.
I know i can move this around on the slots to adjust it but which way should i adjust it.

any idea why it is open at idle.

i had a leak by the bbv when i sprayed carb cleaner one of the hoses was not seated i cut the stretched out end off an put it back on it no longer reacts to the cleaner.

i no longer hear the suction noise but the bbv is still open .

BBV should be open at idle yes.

Its open The lever pointing UP at idle and highway driving for more air circulation in the LIM to improve fuel economy. It closes under BOOST so all the air is deflected into the rotors to make the boost. Once your out of boost, it opens it back up. When your engine is off, it closes.

Testing...start your car, and give it some engine revs. Some short heavy throttle engine bursts will cause it to close, then reopen right away.
