So my LIM is leaking slowly (seeping) and it will need to be changed as everyones stock one would be at some point.
And we have a local garage that is gonna replace my LIM and my head gasket and any other little gaskets while there down there.
Is there anything i should put in if there basically ripping my engine apart?
like anything for modding that i should just do cause we have the engine apart?
I know thats a kinda open question but
    suggestions?

Then you probably dont wanna go after a cam if you're noobish.

For the VS cam, you can run it on a stock motor. Some people run 90# springs with them though. It'd also be a good idea to replace the timing chain and damper if doing a cam.

But besides that, You'll need 2 coolant elbows to do the LIM gasket. They almost always break when removing the alt bracket...
    ZZ Performance

You should also get new valve cover gaskets, since you're there...and the rear one is a PITA to replace by its self.

IF you cam, look at $325 for the cam, and about $125 for springs, timing chain, and damper. Plus a few bucks for a front cover gasket, and you'd need to tune the computer..which prices vary..

If you're in debt, leave the cam alone.

Wait till you have surplus of money they consider the cam.

If the head gaskets are fine, save the money, and dont do them..you're more likely to develop a problem replacing them, than if you were to just leave them be.

    I would just do:
    New supercharger gasket
    New LIM gasket
    New Coolant Elbows
    New valve cover gaskets

That way those gaskets are new, and you dont have to worry about pulling the heads, and getting new bolts for that.

Ask any veteran of the 3800 community "how many stock head gaskets have you seen fail?"

Doing the head gaskets is a lot of work and money to spend. I've worked on well over a hundred of these motors from stock to semi modded to holy crap modded and I've only seen one HG leak. That was because a guy had a regular mechanic put heads on with MLS gaskets and no sealer. It was obvious when I pulled it apart what the cause of the leak was someone w/o info putting it together.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

$65 for the felpro aluminum LIM kit and $17.02 for the S/C gasket.

    Thats from partsource.

Change the coolant elbows and you'll be good.

partsource gave me a reciept of the same kit im getting
similar to the ZZ "Engine Gasket Kit with Head Gasket":
    ZZ Performance

and with (CDN) tax it came to $600 or so.

im getting all the gaskets for like $229.

So i was pretty pissed at partsource. they gave me the reciept for the parts. i punched in the part numbers on google and instantly found like 3 places where the kit was $200-$300 with head gaskets, and they were the EXACT BRAND partsouce said theres were (Felpro).
Bunch of crooks sorry to say. Parts are just better to buy online nowadays or atleast in most cercomstances

    they do accept paypal.

    you have to register first.

and the only information you'll give them is your email address and shipping info.

Everyone is going to need that before they'll ship to you.
