i worked on most of the harness today and i herd the function of this solenoid is not to let the car build boost in reverse. i would like to wire it to a switch because my gears suck and my rpms stay high at 70 so maybe i can keep the valve fully open to save some gas on the highway (i do a ton of highway driving on the way to work). not sure witch wire needs positive and witch one needs negative. thanks

Your bypass valve is open when cruising on the highway. It only closes and builds boost when you are giving it heavier throttle. The boost guage in the DIC will give you a rough idea when the bypass valve is closing to give you boost.
