well just want to let everyone know where iam at. sorry everything is all ugly but im just test fitting things around. only 3 serious things left. tranny is on lol and this is with only 2 days of work from last week. in those 2 days i took out the old motor and put on this one. and did all of this. i hope to get it running by Tuesday and get it tuned sometime later next week. let see how much i get done Monday and Tuesday.

1 is tuning, im going to be using all 97 gtp engine and tb. i hope i can get my mph to work. the pcm for a 97 camaro is the same for a 97 gtp.

2 is thermostat housing. might have to modyfi one i found at the junkyard to fit. its pretty close but i would like to see a better one fit.

3 is the coils. not sure where to mount them yet. but that's really not a big deal.

have a picture of the S/C case?

Also kinda confused with the 97 GTP talk since you say L32 swap.

my bad. the engine is a 06 gtp l32 with 20k from a wrecked car. the tb is from a 97 gtp i got from the junkyard. i cant use the l32 tb because its electronic and my car has a cable tb. also a 97 gtp pcm is the same as mine so i could just tune mine to run with that motor. by the way i have the 06 gtp tb and fwd exhaust manifolds complete to the egr and even 02 sensors for sale. 50 for the tb and 50 for the manifolds. lol i'll do a for sale thread later. with the left over parts.

I wonder if it would be easier if you got the Australian M90 and LIM for your conversion

Not sure if our thermostat housing is different to the us version

That still might not clear the firewall.

Also looks pretty restrictive. they should have had the snout on the rear a la LS9 etc.

How much do they normally go for?

Dave/trannyman has a thread of his own swap. He put the intake piping on the other side and used an H body coil bracket. That seemed to result in more belt wrap.

well in mine i cut about 4 inches off on the supercharger inlet, did not touch any bolts holes and i had to get rid of the egr and tb coolant passages. i thn had to open up the inlet to 3 inches so the pipe could fit in, i used 2 90 degree inter cooler pipes from other swaps. so the intake is real smooth and 3 inch down the whole way. lets see how far i get Monday and Tuesday when im able to work on her again. i think i should be done lol. i sent an email to sales@pcm for less to see if they can do my tuning. i hope the can help cause i dont know anyone else that can do my tune.

You Can usually pick them up on Ebay or The forums From About $250 - $450 for the housing and U depending on condition or mods Most people here wouldnt have any problems posting to the US ,but the trick for you guys is to wait until our dollar goes to **** again and get it cheaper

Heres some photos of the fire wall clearance in a Vs holden

And also the U bend Which you can buy a carbon fiber version here thats takes a ls1 Tb 10mm bigger internally with better fire wall clearance than the standard The one pictured has been mildly ported and internally polished but Ive seen them opened up a lot more than this
