i wasn't watching the tv there.

almost done, dam rain yesterday didn't let me work on the car so i'll see if i can work on a bit before work till next week, as far as tuneing goes i got no help from pcm for less. i was real disappointed since they say they do grandprix tuning and camaro tuning as well. and the tune seems simple.

if they can tune an ls1 they should be able to do your car.

Been watching your thread as I might like a L67 firebird one day (HP minus the V8 )..

If you got a tuner or find someone that can at least do the basics, might be able to give you a head start.

Assuming you move all the needed electronics from the L67 over (MAP sensor, etc), I have had very good luck moving the engine section of bins in the older years (newer Chevy's not so much as to call it perfect, but close). Basically, you did what a 97 Grand Prix GT owner did as far as cross breading engine/trans.. He changed his L36 out for the L67 and needed the transmission section of the original PCM because the transmission is different in that year from the rest of the GTs...

Anyway, we could take you bin, leave manual transmission section untouched, and just swap out the l36 with the l67 programming. You will just have to work out the balance between the engine/trans settings (which shouldnt be as difficult as you are running a manual transmission so you wont really have to contend with shift points, pressure, toruqe management, etc). As long as we dont touch the electronics or programming for it that make communication with BCM/gauge cluster, those things should keep working.

I have ran a manual throttle cable camaro file a few times with an automatic bin file... It works pretty well.

ive done it 2 when i did a t56 swap to an lt1, its just that the speedometer doesn't read right.

A malfunctioning speedo would not be my definition of "works alright".

Indeed, and hopefully it was at least calculating the speed in the PCM correctly for the MPH referenced tables.

well everyone i got her running today without the belt to see how it all went, i used the 97 gtp fuel injectors and tb but use my 1 bar map sensor from the camaro. only one thing that's concerning me and that's the supercharger pulley spins while the engine is on and no belt on. is that normal or is the bypass valve not working?

ill check tomorrow to make sure that flap is opening.

the pulley will spin without the belt, but you can grab onto it and stop it. the air moving through the rotors is just making them rotate, in turn spinning the pulley.

Nice. is that engine all stock? I'd like to know how quick the car is with a stock L32. Something I've always wondered. I had a '94 Camaro with the 3.4L. Oh boy did I hate that thing as far as performance went.

it should be all good, i just hate having budget builds. sometimes u have to cut corners while still making **** functional. when shes all done running and tune ill take the time to do a write up with pictures in case anyone else would like to do it in the future they know what there getting into.

all stock down to the factory sparkplugs. motor has 20k miles and exhaust manifolds are 00 and up factory gm 3.8 tubular manifolds. i had a 94 camaro with a 3.4 5 speed back when i was at high school i bought the car for 300 bucks, and lasted me 2 years and never gave a problem. i just hated how much it rattled in high rpms but yeah she was slow but hey it smoked all the 3.8 stangs and a ton of civics lmao.

i have a facotry high flow 3inch y pipe and then a aftermarket high flow cat. it goes down to 2 1/2 after the cat all the way back to the high flow factory replacement muffler. inside the muffler you can see all the way threw the other side and it has dual exits and its real quiet. im not sure if the drop from 3 in to 2 1/2 is bad for the supercharger. i hope not.
