Installing speed daddy headers and have a egr question. If i delete the egr wouldn't that increase the chance of having the engine spark knock? If you delete the egr code from the ecm will it still pass all the ready tests for emisions or will it always be waiting?

Eliminating the EGR isn't going to have many side effects. I know there are a few out there such as 1mpg loss, and a few others. However, knock shouldn't increase with the EGR deleted. I have no idea about emissions, it seems like you would at least fail a visual inspection with the EGR gone. I'm sure some members from the states that inspect can pitch in on here. I believe if the code is either turned off or deleted in the pcm you can pass emissions, but I may be wrong.

I used the block off plates from ZZP for intake/exhaust.

Works fine and car is running strong. Hope you enjoy those speed daddy headers they are nice for the money!

But it gets to -30 in the winter and 100 plus in the summer and there is nothing to do ever, but back on topic removing the egr will raise nox emissions if you care and you might lose 2mpg on the highway. It is closed under WOT conditions.
