its been a while since i took the heads off my gtp and i opened the hood today and seen some rust on the walls and lim area, i sanded the lim area but can i sand the walls and vacumm the dust out and just pour oil in there before i put heads back on?

and im scratching the cam idea and going ssic and 1.9 rockers since i seen this W Body Store
and im gonna port the exhaust ports on my heads tomorrow
i think high 12/ low 13s will satisfy me, im just tired of the sts drinking all the gas $$

I would wipe the walls with a lint free rag soaked in your favorite motor oil. Wipe them as clean as you can and really soak them down. If its just surface rust your fine then as long as it has'nt started pitting.

W Body Store This is impressive, it might change my plans too.

    Ummm, ya.

That's Ron Vogel's car...that thing was nothing short of insane...it was basically a gutted race car on slicks and skinnies. The dealership wouldn't even take his car in on trade-in because it didn't even closely resemble a WBody under the hood.

12s are achievable with rockers. however, they arent easy and your car needs to be running very healthy.

When Ron sold that car you could not even tell it was low 12 sec car The thing was mint and looked about as stock as it could be. I seen photo's and talked with him just befor it was sold which is the only reason I'm chiming in.

His car scaled about 3250ish or so if I recall correct in Race Trim. I belive he wanted to get down the 3,000 lbs but his buget was limted so he did not have the extra money for some of the bigger weight saving items. Dont plant to run anything close to his time's inless your a true freak with car's. That thing is with out a doubt out of the norm and the thing had more homemade crap on it that worked amazing then any one person can shake a stick at.

and im scratching the cam idea and going ssic and 1.9 rockers since i seen this W Body Store

If you want 12's out of rocker's I'd look into a full size intercooler. My 1st build about 6 year's ago was 1.9 roller rocker's and an ssic with supporting mods. It was pretty much a 13.2 car with a decent 60 all day long at full weight. I ditched the ss in favor of a full size ic and it'd run 12.9's-12.7's pending on the 60. I'd also say jump ship to a gen 5. But that's easy enough to do at a later point if your on a budget. But to each there own. Just trying to keep you from being dispointed.
