    STB's are a project?

They take like 10 minutes to put on LOL...get the GMPP kit like stated above...bigger sway bars and the rear trailing arms make way more of a handling difference than STB's

Installed i couldnt wait for the light of the morning flashlight in mouth, Word to the wise very hard to put in the rear when you have 2 12"s in a box. Side note must get the ratchet loop wrenches(Excuse cant remember the real name) because doing by hand has me feeling like i been in the gym doing all forearm and hand workouts. But it is done.

    Awesome.

Open Cone is FTW...as long as your modded...its not the best idea for a stock car...maybe around a 3.4" setup...but its your call...open cone does give better throttle response and more blower whine...which is win.

Open Cone is the way to go. You will get the most out of this mod with a reprogrammed PCM and a colder thermostat.

The only thing you need is the PCM to use the cone at its maximum potential. The reprogrammed PCM will change the air/fuel mixture for maximum performance...

I say get an Overkill PCM...You won't recognize your car, in a good way!

    Whoa...hold on guy.

Intake placement has hardly anything to do with your fuel trims and air/fuel ratio.

Intake placement is also all about personal preference.

For a stock to 3.4" setup you want the intake farthest away from the motor as possible...why you ask? Because you want to be making the most power as possible since your car isn't making much anyways. It is when you get passed that 3.4" setup is when you want to go with a big open cone filter...because at that point...Flow>Ambiant Air Temps...plus...get rid of that 180* unless you have a tune...it will do nothing but harm your MPG's since your fans aren't set to turn on at lower points. PCM recommendation? Get one from 3800 Performance...DHP is the best mail order tune out there...PERIOD.

I suggest the open cone if you want more throttle response and more blower whine...but your not really going to notice a difference either way...just do what you want to do...its not going to change anything but the placement of your right foot.

If you want MY HONEST OPINION...I'd put an open cone on just about anything with a Roots blower...why? Because its going to get stupid hot no matter where the intake is...unless your intercooled...so...do what you want man...but just keep it mind...it won't change your A/F ratio...or your MPG's really...unless you beat on it...which with more blower whine...you will...TRUST ME
