Hey Everyone, I'm doing my LIM on my 01 GTP this Saturday. Got two questions.

    1. When I take off the oil filler tube, I can see soume deep brown sludge in there on the lifters and such. It's not thick, but it's there. How should I clean this out once I've got it opened up?

    2. LIM replacement. I've searched the forums quite a bit on this, but want to hear from those of you who have actually done this. When replacing the LIM, what else do you recommend? Any tips, or links with photos, would be apprectiated!!!

I've downloaded the video from the PA Club, I already plan on valve cover gaskets, and replacing supercharger coupler (rattles). My car has 122k, a WizAir intake, and that's it. Never been beat, drive it daily, want it last. What do you think?

Please post a pic of the sludge. You shouldn't have sludge, but seeing it may lead to more suggestions.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

Here's pics of what I'm seeing in there. It feels a little slimey. I haven't been using DexCool, but the green coolant. The dipstick had sludge on it too, it was almost clean until about halfway up the dipstick but then had sludge that I'd wiped off. What should I clean this off with once I open it up?

Dont worry about the sludge for now, next oil change run some engine flush threw it right before you change the oil. READ THE DIRECTIONS ON THE BOTTLE.
