    Hi, me and my roommate are buying a supercharger for his girlfriend for christmas. She is always talking about a "gen 5" supercharger". I have searched google and can't really find what she is talking about but I don't want to ask her cause the she will find out about it haha, any info on where or what specific supercharger this is please let me know, Thanks in advance.

    ^^ Pay attention to what Matt said. It's not as simple as buy one and put it on. If you decide to go this route, you can check car-parts.com and search under a 2005 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP for a supercharger and it will link you to a lot of junkyards that have them.

    2002 GTP: GMPP Sway Bars, BMR trailing arms, KYB AGX/Vogtlands, 12" brake upgrade
    Modified SSAC headers, K&N Intake, 3.4 MPS, S1X, Gen V, 104's, HPTuned.

    okay thanks, she already has some parts, she has a full msd ignition, a northstar throttle body, rebuilt transmission with stonger parts, bigger injectors(not sure what size) and some other things. I don't ask about her car much lol but she knows what she needs, right now she has an intercooler on order I believe and she is running a cai, slp loud mouth exhaust, 3.4 pulley on stock super charger, and full msd. I believe she had lonestar performance in Dallas Texas tune her ecu, not sure what they used, and I believe when she stacks up the rest of the parts for this she will have them tune it again, I'm just trying to get the supercharger for her haha. Thanks for all the info guys.

    If I understand the threads I have read correctly, the intercooler for a Gen V is different than for a Gen III. If she already spent the money on an intercooler, that might make the Gen V really expensive if the intercooler has to be replaced to put it on.

    sounds like a bad idea... 3.4 with no flow mods.

    boost = measure of restriction.

    easy guys... hes naming mods he knows of... she could have a cam... e85... meth.. rockers.. etc etc who knows. ur best bet is checking local junkyards... any 04+ supercharged grand prix will have the genV supercharger.. as said in previous post she will need the lower intake manifold also.

    02 GTP with mods 05 GP for DD

    Thanks for all the info and she has had this car for 6 years and constantly researches it, she does not have any e85, cam, or anything like that. She is not going to slap this supercharger on, she has a bunch of parts she wants and this supercharger is just what I picked out of the parts to get her for christmas. It will not be on for a good while haha. I came here just to get some more info on what exactly it is so I don't get the wrong thing because I have knowledge of 240sx's, not grand prix's haha. Thanks for all the info, y'all really helped me out.
