...don't forget the cam is expensive too....
So how'd the hell you do everything else to that car? At this rate...$500 is a lot better than a blown motor...take it from me.
Previous mods = deleted savings
Girlfriend + college = deleting current saved money
Plus it was kind of a father son project as well
And it has a modern fuel injection system....
do it.
Also invest in a wideband.
I could get him the wideband an he could get me the tuner and we could "share" lol
Wideband isn't THAT helpful on a N/A car...I mean...it'll help...but it is way more geared towards a boosted car...because...who cares about fuel trims in a N/A car? LOL
Honestly...get the HPT...and start reading on their forum. Plus, when you buy HPT...it comes with 8 credits...and each car takes 2. So you can sell the 4 credits to someone close to your for say...a hundred bucks per car...and make nearly half of the purchase back. Then if you get good at tuning...it'll pay for itself and then more then you start tuning other cars for cash.
Well it wouldn't technically be for his benefit lol
Why not? You only need 2 credits to tune yours......
I was talking about the wideband. Yeah we both would definitely use the tuner
Well...it won't HURT his car...it might dial it in better...probably nothing he'd notice but it could help to smooth things out.
True... hey has been having massive amounts of problems with it anyways
Yeah he's had it for 5 months and it's been in the shop for a total of 35 days. Yes had engine ticks problems with the exhaust and new found oil leak and he even spun a drive shaft and those are rated at 700 hp to the wheels. He even had pcm problems where they had to give him a whole new pcm. Hes thinking about selling it back and getting a z28 when it comes out. And if they don't take it back were probably gonna go to court because this is getting ridiculous
