About a week ago i had a bad misfire and my service engine light was blinking. When i got home i saw that the spark plug wire was siiting on top of the header. I put all new wires on and the light went away and the car ran better. Well today i was looking at my aeroforce and noticed a misfire in cylinder # 3 although it is not nearly as bad when i burnt the spark plug wire. I put in all new autolite 104's tried a different plug wire and swapped out coil packs and it still was misfiring. Any input would be helpful. could it possibly be the injector? thanks

Check the plugs...are they bent? If so...that's internal damage.

how bad is the misfire? when is it misfiring? and run some injector cleaner and see if that helps...if it doesn you can almost rule out the injector...

Honestly though if you had a huge misfire there very well could be internal damage...

the misfire really isnt that bad. I cant notice any difference its just showing up on my aeroforce. I dont really know how acurate they are at reading misfires. Also im not getting any codes and i just noticed that im not getting any misfires in drive its only showing up in park. This seems really wierd to me.

That's what ya get for not taking my work Blue...lol

I'd fire it up and listen to the injector for it to be ticking like the rest. It's possible the wiring to it is buggered. It's also possible the plug is cracked or something. Admittedly, parts guys and shipping companies don't always treat them with love and care.

I know this is old is there any way to check if the injector isn't working I just had the misfire code thrown on my Bluetooth obd2 scanner I.removed the plug from the coil pack and pressed it back on and no more code maybe it was loose is it possibly the engine only
misfires third when it wants to as in it comes and goes ?
