I think I've traced down my vac Leak to my cylinder 5 fuel injector. I replaced my lim last year (twice) and I've been occasionally dealing with a vac leak at around +12 LTFT and I was spraying carb cleaner and once it hit the injector it dropped to -2 LTFT. During removal last year, I pulled the fuel rail off and the injetor nylon collar that goes into the head broke. I reinstalled new zzp o-rings and used synthetic grease to install them. I think the o-ring might have moved upon installation and that is where I'm getting my vac leak from.

Anyone know where to get a replacement nylon collar or they call it a backup o-ring (Helms name) for oem L67 fuel injectors?

Here's is a picture of our injectors (i need the bottom nylon piece which hold the viton o-ring in place

That little collar doesn't do much other than hold the o-ring onto the injector so when removed, the o-ring comes with it, and not staying behind in the bore, or falling on into the intake runner.

They crack and break all the time when people are removing and reinstalling the o-rings on the injectors. First time i have heard of one breaking from removing the injector from the LIM. But, first for everything.

Many who have had a leak like yours ran double o-rings down in the bore to seal things up. I personally have never ever seen this, but could imagine it if the rails are bent, or not down all the way, or the injector is not seated all the way then yes. I have seen the vac leak go away from wiggling the injector from side to side while pushing down. Most the time the injector will push up too far into the rail and not sit far enough down in the LIM when its being installed.

Adding in that missing ring will not do much for you, even if it is a replaceable part or not.

Might try the above, and for lube, I use "Sil-glide" silicone grease myself, but clean motor oil will work just fine, the o-rings are Viton, and can handle the petroleum based lubes just fine.
