Re wire all 3 of them ? Unplug the maf you tried that I don't even run a rear o2 on mine so re wire that one last if at all the maf and the front o2 shouldn't take long to do maybe first unplug the maf and see what happens.

i unplugged the maf... i guess i'll throw the one from before the build back on. the O2 is new, and i don't have a rear one either. i'm leaning towards a bad maf harness/connector/something, i've gone through like 4 of them now. O2's won't cause serious misfires, it'll just richen up fuel trims
idk... i just remembered that i've gotten all those codes before and they technically never got erased... i'm gonna have to check when the code was set, because maf readings were fine on the aeroforce
f*cking radiator broke. seriously? it's been driven once in 6 months.
anyways, misfires on 1,2, and 6. firing order is 165432. so that explains the ****ty idle, only half of the engine works. maf and oxygen sensor codes didn't come back after i cleared them, must have just been stored in the pcm.
I have a rad if your interested
plugs are new... i have an ignition module laying around, and i think some spare coils... when i get a chance to work on it, that's probably what's getting switched out. i wonder if it has anything to do with the evap code
Oh man I feel bad for you. I alwasy run into a bunch of little problems when doing projects, no where near the magnatude of this but, I feel your pain. I hope you get it figured out soon. And when you do, you and taz need to race and have someone film it!!
It would just be a video of us torque steering into one another and exploding into a massive fireball, Phil you can borrow the scan gauge as long as you need it my car is parked for the most part just don't forget to give it back when your done
thanks man, i'll remember this. unfortunately the firebird needs tires, a u-joint, and a brake caliper before i can justify throwing anymore money into the grand prix, unless it's the ignition module or coils or something cheap that i have laying around. def no money to tune it. so fingers crossed it's simple
how is your radiator broke?
it looks like it split where all the metal tubes go into the plastic tank on the driver's side
You want mine? You can just have it I need to clean my garage out.
that would be sweet man, coldwater is up north somewhere isn't it?
Yeah I work in minster which would be a lot closer to you if you could get it during the day. Coldwater is close to celina if you want to get it later on in the afternoon.
only problem is i still don't have my license for another month. ****
alright guys, i'm gonna figure this out if it f*cking kills me. it appears that it's not going away, so lets put our collective heads together and get this piece going.
a short summary:
GT block, GTP top end, ported everything, 105#s, modded retainers/seals, double roller, AL 104's, stock injectors, not tuned.
Codes stored: P0300, P1646. P1646 is the bypass solenoid circuit. i don't have the sensor wired in. the vac line running from the map sensor around the engine goes through the bbv and into the T on top of the supercharger. P0300 is, of course, random/multiple cylinder misfire.
so, why is it missing? every now and then i'll have a dead miss at an engine speed raised above idle, and when it returns to idle, cylinders 1, 2, and 6 are dead. they're all on different coils, on both cylinder banks. map readings were a steady 17-19in Hg at idle. oxygen sensor and maf sensor readings responded to changes in throttle. no knock, but the engine wasn't under load; i never saw any boost either. that's about all i have for diagnosis.
i emailed intense for a little more background on the camshaft, just to see if it causes a rough idle or would go away with a tune. i would love to be able to do a laundry list of tests for compression, leakdown, fuel injector flow, etc. but i don't have any way to get the tools to my car. so... who has a good spot to start with diagnosis?
all the coils die at once? ICM issue or your wiring harness leading up to it has been messed up and is grounding out intermittantly.
the 'rough idle' is normal, but it shouldnt have a straight dead miss. it should missfire, so the P0300 code is 100% normal.
x2.
I'd start tracing grounds and take your ICM to the local auto parts store and have it checked out.
