Having trouble with my car. The car starts right up and idles just fine however it does sputter during acceleration. Its not constant and seems to be severe above 3000 rpms and also below, 3000 seems to be the sweet spot. When it does happen the tachometer goes crazy, jumping up and down severely.
I did just replace the air filter and I cleaned the Mass Air Flow sensor. When tapping on it as well nothing happens and the car idles just fine which leads me away from thinking its the MAF. I also just replaced the wires on the car about a month ago. The spark plugs were replaced about 2-3 months ago. About a year ago I had the car at the dealer and the CATs were replaced so it also leads me away from thinking it may be that.
No engine code comes up which to me is very strange. I have no idea what it could be and could definitely use some help. I've been told it could possibly be the ignition module or the crank sensor. If there is any feed back you can give me or if you have links of the part or how to fix, I'd be much obliged.
