About 5 months ago driving home from work my car cut off on me. Had it towed home, ended up the TB gasket failed and sucked coolant into the engine.

Fast forward 5 months and it cut off again. Had it towed home and took another car into work. I have yet to look into it. It was smoking white smoke bad. It cranks won't fire just like last time.

Last time to fix it i swapped gaskets, pulled plugs cranked it sprayed the coolant out of the cylinders and let them air dry for a bit. New AP104s and cranked it up let it idel and smoked like crazy for a bit. It ran fine after that.

I am running a TB spacer with 50/50 methanol water injection. Would that have anything to do with it?

Is this a regular thing with these cars/engines?

    Thanks.

you ARE running two gaskets right? And the S/C O rings are there right?

Two gaskets yes. Orings where? There is some rubber pieces built into the TB gasket.

No...O-Rings under the blower in the LIM. There are 2 little yellow O-Rings that go there. Also...what nozzle size are you running...you could be flooding it out...and to add to that, are you running new Aluminum intake gaskets? If not...I'd get on that with new coolant elbows...because most of the failing TB gaskets I gave seen mainly just cause huge vacuum leaks...I bet your coolant source is from something else...example...LIM gaskets.

LIM gaskets where done this past summer. With new yellow o-rings and elbows. All that looks fine. Last time this happened. The TB Gasket looked like butt you could see where the coolant came though. Same thing happened last time.

Its the smaller nozzle of the 2 that comes with the Devils Own kit.

Pulled the SC'er off today. The gasket and O-rings looked fine. Would having a spacer versus taping the TB for the methanol be a better chance? Like if the spacer wasn't perfectly flat or the bolts where strecthing could that let this happen again? 2 times in a 6 month period.

I tapped the tb for methanol injection. I went in the unused vacuume port that was not drilled through, by drilling through and tapping the tb (off the car)
