if i bought a '99 gtp pcm, sent it in for a canned tune to use as a core or whatever, would that still work? (other years also?) because my gtp is a DD and i cant just be without it for weeks as its sent in and stuff.

There are some differences with the years...however if you are going to get a canned tune...the tuner can put the same year file on there for you.

yeah just a canned tune. so if i sent in the '99 pcm il get back a '01 programmed pcm and it should work just fine?

Why not just pay the core charge then send yours in when you get it back?
