    Hello Everyone,

I'm Mike. I'm new to the forums. I have a 04 GTP CompG with almost 100k. All stock stuff. Well, except i put a K & N Air Filter.

I just had new spark plugs installed today and they put NGK 3951 TR 55's. Are these a good spark plug?

Also, how often should one change the spark plugs. I'm unsure as to how long the other spark plugs were in there seeing as I just purchased the car back in May. It seem to run fine and didn't have any issues other than a new gas cap. The "check gas cap" chime kept going on. Bought a new cap and she's good as new.

The car is in fantastic shape for an 04 and I would like to keep the integrity of her top notch and because I still owe money on her for another 4 years. LOL

Thanks in advance to any one that replies.

NGK TR55's are a little cold of a plug for your application but they will work fine, especially if you throw some mods at it. Other than that...Autolite 606's or OEM Equivalent AC Delco's are great choices...no Bosch's or Iridium plugs though IMO.
