Re: 20 PSI of boost!!!!????
like 01GTP said. no where should make 20 psi. i know its in the right spot, its reading vac and boost. i tested it too. something is making it build up in the LIM.
only thing i could think of is the timing. just not letting it flow is the only i can see. 15-20 psi is a sign of restriction in my eyes. im just not sure from what.:th_shakinghead2:
Re: 20 PSI of boost!!!!????

no way. that would cause more problems than that. and ive drove 700 miles on it like this. rag wouldnt make it through that.

I vote dead rodent in the LIM
Re: 20 PSI of boost!!!!????
a million spiders made a home....
Get a scan gauge and see what your MAP sensor is reading.
Re: 20 PSI of boost!!!!????
i just dont understand why you would spend all the time/money in your car and NOT scan it, it just seems very irresponsible, i doubt your gen 3 is actually @ 20 psi...not scanning/monitoring your motor is like bangin a hooker and you just HOPE your not infected.

Re: 20 PSI of boost!!!!????
Don't worry about it, man. I just got hammered on another thread here for gapping my plugs on an unmodified engine. Happens to the best of us, no matter how careful we think we are. Sounds like they are just saying, get busy tearing it down if your not willing to scan it. But if you COULD scan it you SHOULD, "scan" what you "can", first. On with the resolution. That's all.
No big deal. My 2 cents. Good luck.
