I was wondering what signs should i look for when the valve cover gaskets and LIM gaskets start leaking? The shop my car was at last week told me that my valve cover gaskets need to be replaced and i am taking it there tomorrow morning to get done. I have been test driving the car around the neighborhood the past few days and when i come to a park, smoke start coming from under the valve covers near the manifolds.

LIM gasket leaking is usually visible by seeing small puddles of dirty coolant on top of LIM. Valve cover gaskets leak oil from the edges of the valve cover onto the head. The exhaust manifold is bolted to the side of the head and will burn off oil that is leaking from the valve cover gasket in that area.

Yup sounds like the valve cover gaskets are leaking pretty good.

Okay definitely getting the valve cover gaskets replaced first thing tomorrow.

    One more question,

How hard is the supercharger gasket to replace??? I see a crack between the gasket at the snout connected to the body of the charger. Are there any step by step directions on how to? Thank you.

is it leaking from there? if it is not then is should be fine.

but if it is you can use:
    LOCTITE Gasket Eliminator 518 sealant

Yes it is leaking from there just a little when at WOT. This actually after replacing my stock coupler with a zzp coupler. Thanks so much fivefinger. I will get the loctite sealant first thing tomorrow.
