I have a 2000 grand prix gtp 3.8 v6 and the fuel pump went. i was just wondering if anyone else has replacced this and about how long it took, what was the part price and if it was difficult.
thanks

there is a hatch in the trunk to get at it for changing it. its not too difficult, just disconnect your battery when youre doing it.
should be under the carpet towards the rear in the center. you have to take a few screws out to open it up.
Just about all W-body cars have that hatch, so yes your GP should have it.
nice guys! good to know for the future =] lol i think mine will go this year =[
it is held on by a few 10mm nuts. you can access it through the center of the back seat, or crawling in your trunk. takes at most 30min. the hardest part is getting the ring(on older models) or newer design ring(2001 newer) off...and just squeezing the quick disconnect fittings and pull them off.
when you have the assembly loose.... be real carefull of the level sensor. you will have to tip the pump to get it out of the hole. when this happens... it will dump fuel out of the assembly. SO. wear ruber gloves, and have a few rags handy.
this is funny as hell cuz i had to replace mine 2day at school drove into a by to await my alihgnment... never started back up lol no whine we checked no fuel pressue 12 volts + to pump connectors long story short OEM part 300 bucks lol WITH A DISCOUNT FROM NAPA THROUGH SCHOOL lol w.e it starts on a dime and no gay noises anymore haha

this thread is very old, that guy has been banned a very long time ago, and why do you need a racetronix pump?
