started up quite recently. the S/C whine spools up into a whistle which then turns to an annoying "chirp" right after 5000Rpm. not sure where to start lol.

Video clip?
So you have any SES lights?
something seized?
Ya it would make sense since its happening in the higher RPM's.
OP what's your mod list? Oh and do you have a boost gauge or a way to scan your car?
Tried the belt. since it was split and the factory belt lol. but the "chirping" is still there. feels like it's keeping me from shifting. and i have no boost gauge, just the stock one (measures in bars lawlz)
it's not a highly modded car:
CAI with spectra 6"
high flow DP
smaller mufflers
ect ect.
I have the same problem!!! Just started last week. I thought it was the coupler since these things go bad so easily... put a new one in today with fresh oil and it is still chirping when accelerating hard, low power, and feels like it doesn't shift very quickly between 0 and 45 mph... the belt looks fine should I replace it anyway??? I ran it without the supercharger belt for the last week without any problem/sound so it has to be the supercharger... what is the problem?

So to add to this story. the car STALLED right after the vid when i went to turn around. questions comments?
tried to post the vid directly it didn't want to

Ummm, wtf. That's no chirp...that sounds LOUD and clattery...like you've got more than blower belt issues.
thinkin it's on the s/c pulley or one of the tensioners? they all spun freely when i had the belt off. i'ma go with another members idea and change all the bearings for the tensioners.
That sounds like something major. I'd take off the whole blower, separate the snout, and inspect everything.
How tight is your belt? Could still be slip but with a loose tensioner.
edit: I forgot how slow the cars are stock lol
that sounded like belt slip to me... my l32 does it too even with a gatorback. more often when its wet out though but still once in a while when not... i have the stock pulley on and everything. if you replace the tensioners one of our vendors sells a slighly bigger pulley to help get more belt wrap
