there is no doubt in my mind that his 430 whp m90 car is an absolute monster and youll never get the same feeling from a turbo car. rant all you want about how a turbo car would be better, but he still holds the fastest and most powerful m90 car records. FYI, even with lower power, he still runs much faster than 99% of the turbo guys considering his car runs 10s and is one of the only m90 cars to ever do that.
make you think differently? probably not, but my point has been made.
well breaking records is cool but i cant justify the money they have into the car. Their are cheaper routes to go to get the same results. However being the owner of the shop its all at his disposal so no big deal.
But why would anyone want to drop money into the car that started it all for his business? I don't get it, it's like you have all this money, why not sell your most prized possession and get more money? Why would you want to dump more money into a m90 car when you have tons of other turbo cars and setups to play with all day?
lol jk get over it. He does what he wants. O, and he didn't just go to 430whp... it's around 464whp right now with room to go... ZZ Performance
I was about to say... more than 430 :D
You do know that someone from ZZP holds the world record for the fasted GP/3800 and it was twin turbo'd, right? I'm sure Zooomer had more than a lil to do with that. So why not smash the m90 HP record when you have some of the best 3800 people and best 3800 parts in the world?
we are talking about mods here not money, he wants the best M90 car so that what he gets
Can we please close this thread? this is rediculous
He owns zzp he has a few bucks to throw into an m90
...and parts and tools and a track and a garage and....ya everything he needs
Not to mention it gives him a platform to develop parts for.
A car that I tuned and helped build made 373whp and 398wtq on e85 with:Quote:
No ****. People barely break 350whp with a decent cam, genV and a nice intercooler on a high compression block. Every horse after that is $$$$.
XP cam + springs
Ported Gen3 on 2.6 pulley + N*
Old design Wbodystore intercooler, ZZP front mount, and a $20 Walmart bilge pump for fishtanks
SSM90 LIM
STOCK L36 block
STOCK timing chain
STOCK L36 heads
STOCK 4t65e non-HD transmission
Everything was bought used and he didnt spend much money on the car at all. He gets valve float and was running out of fuel pump so his dyno dropped off. Id bet money that we will hit 400whp on a stock L36 block with stock L36 heads once we get the few kinks worked out. That being said, he needs a built transmission before he can get good track times.
E85 isn't available in many places and doesnt really count.
Its difficult to find anything higher than 91 in some places.
Bull**** it doesnt count - ZZP/Zooomer made their newest numbers on E85... does that count? Hell ya it does.Quote:

Its a widely available fuel that ANYONE can put in their car for LESS money then pump gas. It costs LESS to set up properly then meth and LESS then a large properly set up shot nitrous. There are three E85 stations in Houston that I know of (a very large city by the way) and I know of at least 12+ cars that daily drive their cars on E85 and even more that have weekend cars on E85.
Wow, 3 whole stations in the city of Houston.....so, let's look at the demographics here....
656.3 sq mi
Population (2009)[1][2]
- City 2,257,926 (4th U.S.)
- Density 3,897/sq mi (1,504/km2)
- Urban 3,822,509 (10th U.S.)
- Metro 5,867,489
LOL
Yeah, that's an awesome ratio right there per density....very practical. Why didn't we all think to run E85? Oh yeah, the ones who are close to a station probably do, the rest, we make due with other methods.
pump gas power or bust.
On an open loop tune you can get pretty decent mileage on E85 by running a bit leaner and jacking up the timing.Quote:
Your gas mileage also goes to dick when you run it.
Gotta pay to play. Once you get to a certain mod level with a car there arent really any other mods you can do without spending big money. Also, for someone such as yourself that apparently tunes cars it should be no problem going E85. Swap in a pump gas tune to daily and throw your e85 tune back on before the track... its a pretty simple process. ****, for that matter you can have someone buy an extra PCM and tune one for pump and one for E85... takes 3.3 minutes to swap it out.Quote:

Example: Theres not much left I can do to my turbo car besides some beefcake heads for daily consistent performance... except e85. Everything Ive done on my own car has been pump gas and I dont even daily drive it. I need a monster fuel setup but all in all in will be worth it when I gain 50-75+ whp out of it... and not to mention running something like E85 or race gas is more forgiving when you have mechanical or electrical errors on your car that would otherwise chunk a piston. Its going to end up costing me maybe $300 in fueling mods on my car to go E85 after I sold my Racetronix pump.
