1998 GTP plug comes off the engine wire harness up front splits where the coolant sensor plugs in then goes behind the battery and plugs into a plug that goes up front to the left head light. what is it for.

Perhaps nothing, there are 1-2 plugs on some wire harness's that go to nothing as they are for emissions related items.
