FYI, if you have the stock catback, youll need 2" inlet mufflers...
On another post everyone was telling me 2.25:th_shakinghead2:
2.25" before the y-bend at the back, then its 2" back from there.
IIRC its 1 and 7/8" at the inlet for the stock muffs...
im keeping my stock resonator cause i dont want rasp. so whats better than thrush/dynomax then? if its gonna cost twice as much though il just stick with the thrush.
yeah the less drone the better. there just seems to be too many options and everyone has a different opinion about exhaust. i just want something cheap, and sounds good. little rasp and drone, and it can be with the resonator or mufflers. so im pretty open to ideas.

theres my stock exhaust. sounds raspy stock. weird. could just be camera sound quality.
So...take out the stock cat. That'll make it sound a lot better than stock.
the cat really make that much of a difference? didnt know that. what about emissions. im going to be living in chicago, IL the next couple years and idk what they have rule wise with emissions.
Well check out your local emission laws. You can always have a shop take the cat off, gut it...and then weld it back in.
Are there any performance gains by removing the cat?
SLP mufflers are the way to go
What about sound wise?
SLP? no? They sound really nice. Smooth and Deep. No ricer raspy sound. I'll post up a vid later when the sun is out. Have you experinced SLP on a GTP?
Just curious about the cat, its starting to get really cherry red at night and was considering cutting it off
