I used strap clamps (not stepped), and with enought tightening (45 ft/lbs) they become a perfect stepped clamp. Im not exactly sure of percise measurments of the crossover, I know the 2 1/4 will fit, but im not sure if it goes down to 2 1/8, or bigger.

    15 a piece?

So wait, if you used 2 1/4 ones and they crushed down then these are probably the ones. I'm pretty sure the 2 1/4 wouldn't fit over a larger pipe.

wait a minute I think I have that wrong. 2 1/4 is the pipe ID, I'm going to assume the clamps are labled based on the pipe ID they are made to clamp. So, now I've just confused myself because that would mean I need a 2 1/4 to 2 3/8 clamp.

maybe these are the ones I need

Just get some 2.25 band clamps. I did not use stepped ones either.

Have fun, but there's no guessing with the strap band clamps.
