I finally got my car back! its been a few weeks now that Ive had to go without, and im really psyched to have her back at home. Especially since this is first time ive really got to drive her with the headers on, Oh my lol.
I also had to get a new pcm, (mine sh!it the bed right after the headers went on.) she is seriously a new beast and im loving it

But as always there is some thing not completely right..

I think its nothing but why not run it by yous guys

the car hesitates when i first get on the throttle, it only happens if im stopped or at a slow roll. its chugs a little bit and it almost sounds like its gonna die out on me but if i back off of the pedal a bit she roars back to life.

now, with the new pcm from 3800 performance being tuned to run a 3.4, i figure its just running too rich and almost semi partially flooding lol thus causing the initial studder. correct me if im wrong.

but i guess if the only way to solve the problem is to do something wild like i dont know get a 3.6 or 3.4 pulley and make some extra boost and cram some more air into baby then i guess ill just have to do it, reluctanly of course

yeah, running rich wouldnt cause a stutter unless you were dumping fuel in like crazy. at that point you'd notice.

ok ok.. damn i thought i had that one figured out

    thanks guys

hey i think the cause of the vacuum leak would be the lower tubing on the egr, where it meets the LIM.

the end of the tube got bent outta shape recently

assuming this is the cause could that be cured with some copper rtv or should i start looking to replace?

^^That...and do the 2 cent mod. Really cleans up the engine bay and makes it easier to do headers...trust me.

cut the flanges off the EGR tubes, RTV coins in them, then bolt them back on.

yes, but the EGR is only active when cruising. at WOT you'd have the same intake temperatures.

    alright, one more thing

if i were to do this would it solve the leak and studder that is being caused by the tube not fitting correctly in the lim, or should i replace it with a new tube then mod it

my buddy crushed the tube when he went to put it back on, then i hastily reshaped it so the car would start, this is why im nto sure if itd fix the problem

deleting the EGR takes that problem out of the system. if the problem wasnt the EGR you'll find that out very quickly.
