I've been getting a parts list together to start updating things on my 1998 gtp. Upon searching for engine mounts I found these. I know they already make billet dogbones but these might be worth a look.

Picture below is for 2.8-3.1 regal and grand prix's, I inquired about ordering a set of these for my gtp. They told me they don't make them for the 3800 series but if 10 people were interested, they'd make them. I'm sure out of all the GP forums it would be worth the companies time to start on the 3800 application. I think they'd sell a ton of them. Let me know your thoughts. If people like them I'll contact the company and find about pricing and how long they'd take to produce.

    Company name is MRZ-performance.

They look cool. I would buy them if I needed them, but I am all stock for now.

I just wonder about vibration these may cause. I know poly mounts can drive people crazy. Personally I think I can live with vibration especially knowing that the engine isn't going to move. There's probably a good amount of people with high mileage GP's that need the mounts replaced or some type of upgrade done to help with engine geometry. I know there's a lot of modded gps that are still on stock mounts because the majority of people go for hp over suspension at first. I dunno, I like them it would be interesting for me to be the guinea pig. They won't do it for just 1 guy though.

good poly mounts dont make the car shake much more than rubber mounts do. its all in the hardness of the compound. for example, the compound that ZZP uses is different than intense. intense poly mounts are softer and dont make the car vibrate as much.

going on this part...why would you want that shape? it seems as though the stock shape would provide less weight.

You're right, I just thought they looked intersting. I just received an email from them. They're 184.99, I'll pass on that. You can do all your engine mounts and tranny mount for that price.

That $184.99 is a little steep for that part, but considering they are only making 20 of them...they would be a short run production. You only get the price down if your making these in the hundreds or thousands and they don't have to have tight tolerances. Tighter tolerances, the price goes up.

$184.99 for about $40.00 worth of machining (that's being generous too) and about $5.00 worth of material. Bushings...what...maybe $10.00 or $15.00 at the most.

Nothing wrong with the stock steel ones...if they are ugly, paint them, powder coat them, or send them to me, and I'll chrome plate them.

Install some aftermarket bushings in them, there ya go...big money saved.
